Meet Dr. Bender
A Passion for Helping People
I love helping my patients. I feel I’m doing something worthwhile when I repair a broken tooth, create an entirely new smile through cosmetic care, or get a patient out of pain with a root canal or extraction. Being a dentist means helping people live healthier, happier lives. I cannot imagine anything more fulfilling.
My patients know I care about them, and I do everything possible to ensure they are happy with their treatment. I love helping people who are nervous and dealing with dental anxiety. My team and I work closely with them, providing encouragement and support at every step, with the goal of turning them into a trusting, no-longer-fearful, patient.
I knew I wanted to work in healthcare at a young age and decided on dentistry in my early teens. I loved going to the dentist as a child, loved the sciences in school, and working with my hands. Dentistry is a wonderful blend of art and science. It gives me great joy to use both sides of my brain in my work, while helping people, every day!
Education and Commitment to continuing Education
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by the Baylor College of Dentistry Texas A&M University System. I received an excellent education and strong foundational knowledge of dentistry.
However, oral healthcare is constantly changing. New technologies, treatments, and materials may all benefit my patients. It is my responsibility to remain current on developments in order to provide the highest level of care.
Continuing dental education is critical to me, and to my patients. I’m an active member of the Spear Study Center. I also attend local, regional, and national dental meetings, lectures, and seminars, and stay abreast of research findings in the relevant journals.

Personal Life
I grew up right here in Fort Worth and returned after college and dental school. I think Forth Worth is the best town in Texas, with the most awesome people! Most of my family members live here in the state. I have three adorable nephews and a young-at-heart dog.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me practicing yoga, cycling, or hiking. I also swim with a masters swim team and am part of the YMCA Drowning Prevention Coalition. You may also find me losing myself in a fantasy novel. I’m a big Harry Potter fan; I know they’re old news, but I still love the books.
